Painted Bunting Water Bottle
A bottle for your favorite birder. This 14-ounce stainless steel vessel features brightly hued Painted Bunting specimens from our research collection.
The male Painted Bunting (Passerina ciris), with its red underparts, blue head, and chartreuse back, is arguably North America’s gaudiest bird. But the bright colors also make the Painted Bunting a popular cage bird in Mexico. Occasional Painted Buntings show up in southern California, but it is unclear if these are wanderers from the species’ normal range farther east or escapees from captivity.
Made of lightweight stainless steel, this water bottle has a plastic screw top with carabineer and key chain ring.
