Dragon Decorative Pillow
Not your grandmother’s throw
pillow—unless your grandmother is completely epic. This gorgeous dragon
illustration is featured in an antiquarian book in the Museum’s collection.
Our Research Library is home
to encyclopedic works of the 1600-1700s, some of which feature illustrations of
fantastical creatures, unicorns, and dragons alongside common animals like horses,
oxen, snakes, and birds. Earlier writings suggested the existence of these
fanciful animals, and those mistaken ideas were simply replicated in these encyclopedic
works.
This 14” x 14” polyester pillow
is a real statement piece. The cover has a concealed zipper, and the polyester pillow insert is included.
