Dig It Out Excavation Kit: Stegosaurus
Dig It Out Excavation Kit: Stegosaurus. Although Stegosaurus was the size of a bus, its brain has famously been compared to the size of a walnut. In reality, Stegosaurus had a brain the size of at least *two* walnuts. So while it was no Einstein, Stegosaurus was capable creature. It was a plant eater that rocked 4 spikes on the end of its tail, up to 3 feet long each, and two rows of 17 plates called scutes on its back - the largest plate being over 3 feet tall. Even though it had a slender jaw with small teeth and a beaked tip, scientists think it would sometimes swallow rocks to help break down tough plants in its gizzard.
